As a Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer, and as a consultant assisting councils my most recent work experiences are:

• Mentoring of Council officers and Clerks
• Consultancy Support for projects being developed and delivered by Councils
• Development and agreement at referendum of two Neighbourhood Plans both in very challenging areas with multiple National Strategic Infrastructure Projects
• Full salary and structure review of an organisation with 31 employees
• Development and delivery of 2 strategic plans
• Formation of 2 Trusts to deliver charitable work within the community
• Extensive work to assist community with cost of living crisis
• Extensive support activities to assist heavily impacted community during Covid following which  I received Buckinghamshire Clerk of the Year Award in 2021 
• Development, funding acquisition and delivery of 4 major capital projects 
• Councillor capacity building and IT support

Previously as a Community Safety Co-ordinator I was involved in all areas of the Police and Justice system and specialised in the collection of experiences from the community and the seeking of solutions, both practical and enforcement based, to reduce re-offending and victimisation.

As a Town Co-ordinator I specialised in community engagement and capacity building and submitted and delivered two Single Regeneration Budget Bids as well as considerable Millennium activities.

My seagoing career provided a strong baseline for decision making under pressure, stoicism, and operating in a hostile environment.  It also gave a baseline for strong and extensive agile project management

I have a keen interest in 'Allotmenteering', camping, walking and biking, and DIY.  I love being at sea and am fortunate to be able to pop on a ferry to France.

I am committed to lifelong learning and following my recent dissertation I am developing support for Procedural Justice in the Parish Council sector
